It seems that everywhere Jesus went He spoke of the Kingdom of God. Many of His parables and sermons were talking about the Kingdom of God, sometimes as near at hand, sometimes as coming soon, sometimes as delayed and sometimes as having arrived. What do you think Jesus meant by the Kingdom of God? What does it mean to you today in the 21st century?

Jesus spoke constantly about the Kingdom of God. Matthew called it the Kingdom of Heaven but most theologians see the terms as meaning the same. It is God's rule and he wants it everywhere in the world including in our own lives. Jesus spoke of the Kingdom as coming soon, already here, that is had come and the it will be delayed until the future. I believe this shows a God outside of time. He wants to break the future in upon us now, albeit not fully until the Last Day, and bring healing and freedom to all.
