Any profile page on Emerciv can be used as a web site. This will help you drive traffic straight to it, without having to navigate through other pages in Emerciv.

A simple solution is Domain Name Forwarding.

If you haven’t done so already, purchase a domain name at an online domain registry like www.godaddy.com. Be sure that the registry will give you the ability to FORWARD your domain. Any good registry company will be glad to answer questions about FORWARDING over the phone before you purchase your domain. Also, keep in mind that there is often an additional fee associated with forwarding, but some registries provide it for free.

After purchasing your domain name, you’ll want to enable the domain forwarding feature that the registry provides. You will be required to enter a new web address where the domain is being forwarded to. When looking at your Emerciv profile page the web address is located at the top of your internet browser. (It should look something like this – http://www.emerciv.com/em/profile/view/6f626a6c655f3238.html) Simply copy the address from your profile page and paste it in place for your domain forwarding. Finish or save the process and you are done.

Note: If your domain registry allows for MASKING to be used with the forwarding process, enable it. Masking ensures that even while looking at your profile page, your original domain name will appear at the top of the browser.

You can now advertise your domain name as a stand alone web site. When people go to your domain name they will instantly be directed to your Emerciv profile. You can even submit that domain name to popular search engines so that your profile page is more likely to be listed when people search for your products, services, or name.
