The Downtown Development Authority has recently adopted the Main Street concept with the goal of improving historic downtown Monroe. The mission of the program is to enhance the quality of life and develop a positive image of Downtown Monroe for residents, businesses, (get listed in our directory) and visitors by promoting cultural and economic growth in the downtown area.
