Monroe County Radio Communications Association
Welcome to the Monroe County Radio Communications Association. We are a group of Amateur (Ham) Radio operators that meet monthly to help further the cause of Amateur Radio.
Membership:
Annual membership dues are $10.00 for individual and $5.00 for each additional family member, this includes a monthly newsletter. An FCC license is not required for membership. For more information or to join, check out our web site at (www.mcrca.org). Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. We meet at the Monroe Chapter of the American Red Cross, 1645 N Dixie Hwy, Monroe, MI 48162

Group Profile

Mission Statement
PURPOSE:
To further the cause of Amateur Radio, to teach Radio Fundamentals, Code and to hold classes for same. To further exchange of information and co-operation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of amateur radio in the community. Recognition and enhancement of the value of the amateur service to the public as a voluntary non-commercial communication service, particularly with respect to providing emergency communications. Continuation and extension of the amateur's proven ability to contribute to the advancement of the radio art. Continuation and extension of the amateur's unique ability to enhance international good will.

Monroe Hamfest

Monroe Hamfest is a large swap meet where businesses and people buy and sell new and used amateur radio equipment, electronics and computer equipment. The Monroe Hamfest has been held annually for more than 30 years. The average attendance is over 1200 people with several buildings filled with tables and two huge lawns filled with people selling out of their trunks.

Monroe Hamfest

Monroe Hamfest is a large swap meet where businesses and people buy and sell new and used amateur radio equipment, electronics and computer equipment. The Monroe Hamfest has been held annually for more than 30 years. The average attendance is over 1200 people with several buildings filled with tables and two huge lawns filled with people selling out of their trunks.
