The Medical Massage Institute of Southeast Michigan offers a 700 clock hour program in Massage Therapy. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion in Massage Therapy, a Certificate as a Personal Trainer, and everything they will need to know to be a valuable Chiropractic Assistant. After graduation, students are eligible to sit for the National Certification Test administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

Massage Therapy Program
700 clock hours completed in 9 months

This program focuses on the western styles massage therapy. The program prepares students for entry level positions as massage therapists in medical, chiropractic and physical therapy offices, gyms, salons, spas, cruise ships, resorts and for private practice, and to take the National Certification Exam. Chiropractic Assistant Program
• Chiropractic history and philosophy.
• Relationship of medical massage and chiropractic
• Insurance understanding, billing codes.
• X-ray basics and patient care.
• Onsite practial training in clinics.
• Become marketable as a chiropractic assistant, massage therapist and personal trainer (cross training).

Personal Trainer - National Certification
• Basic fitness principles and assessment-muscle physiology and body mechanics, strength and endurance principals.
• Development fitness programs, injury prevention, machine and free weight understanding.
• Business and legal concepts, program design, screening clients.
• Critical needs training ex: seniors.
• Become marketable with massage therapy chiropractic assistant and personal trainer (cross training).
