Favorite Books: I've only been reading heavily for a year or so now. I've racked up a few favorites: Lord of the Rings (entire series), Where the Mountain Casts Its Shadow (a deep journey into the extreme lives of adventurous, obsessive mountaineers and the impact on their families), Atlas Shrugged, We the Living, Anthem, Fountain Head (four Ayn Rand titles), and One Man's Wilderness. I'm currently reading the Bible from front to back.

Travel Experiences: Alaska, thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, multiple backpacking trips to Alqonquin Provincial Park of Ontario, Paris, France, backpacking and research in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, backpacking in Isle Royal National Park, cross-country trip around Florida and to the Everglades, multiple Smokey Mountain National Park trips, Niagara Falls, New York, Washington D.C., and a Habitat for Humanity Global Village trip to Sri Lanka to rebuild homes after the 2004 tsunami. The rest is just basic trips to different states, etc. Some of these destinations have image galleries on this profile.
